Open Doors Christian Fellowship
Overview:
When you get around 'religious' people do you feel uptight? So does the Lord! Be assured - you can relax here. We don't like to act like we are better than others, because we are not. We are happy though, to have growing relationships, and the opportunity to serve others. When you visit us, you'll sense an atmosphere of love and acceptance. You can fit in and we can help, or just allow it to happen. Open Doors Christian Fellowship is committed to be used to open as many doors as we can so that people can know God's purpose and power in their lives. Sound good? We think so.
Open Doors Christian Fellowship (ODCF) has been diligently looking for permanent land for its church building in Litchfield. Most recently we were providentially able to purchase a 10 acre property in Litchfield on Route 3A. The Town Board's (Zoning, Conservation, and Planning) and other officials have given careful and helpful guidance throughout the construction and planning process of our new facility. We are happy to report that the construction of our building has been wonderfully completed. You are invited! We want you to come as you are; casual dress is a suggestion.
Pastor:
Terry Wilcox graduated from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, with a BA in Education. After teaching in a public school for one year, he married Debbie McCoy, and was commissioned by his local church to enroll at Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatfield PA to prepare for the ministry. Debbie grew up in a pastor's home and graduated from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL with a BA in Christian Education.
While in seminary, Terry was asked by a local church to join their pastoral staff. Upon graduation, he received an MA in Biblical Studies and an M. Div in Theological Studies. Concluding 7 years of ministry at their church near the Seminary, the church commissioned Terry and Debbie to work as an Area Director for 7 years with Church Dynamics International. Through Church Dynamics International, Terry and Debbie worked in Churches in 5 regions of the country before coming to NH. Terry and Debbie have 2 children - Brett age 21 and Lindsay age 17.
Government and Leadership:
An Elder Board, including our Senior Pastor, governs the Open Doors Christian Fellowship Church, serves people in multiple ways, and continually works to help keep the church healthy and the vision clear.
